Swim below the cliffs of Oia and watch the world-famous Santorini sunset from the water.

Ammoudi is the small fishing port that lies at the base of the cliffs directly below Oia — Santorini’s most famous and photographed village. While thousands of visitors crowd the streets of Oia above to watch the sunset, guests on our catamaran experience it from an entirely different — and far more magical — perspective: from the sea, looking up at the illuminated cliffs and cascading white buildings as the sky turns gold and red above them.
The bay itself is a beautiful spot for swimming, with deep clear water, black volcanic rocks, and the dramatic backdrop of the caldera wall rising hundreds of metres above. A handful of traditional seafood tavernas cling to the waterfront, accessible only by boat or on foot via the famous 300-step staircase from Oia above.
On sunset tours, we anchor near Ammoudi to watch the sun sink below the horizon — a moment that consistently stops conversations and leaves guests speechless. The light here, as evening approaches, is simply extraordinary — warm, golden, and utterly unlike anything you will find anywhere else on Earth.
