Explore Santorini’s volcanic coast at its most serene — calm seas, clear light, and uncrowded beaches.
The Semi-Private Morning Sailing Cruise is the perfect way to experience Santorini’s extraordinary volcanic coastline at its very best. Departing at 10:00 AM, the sea is at its calmest, the light is clean and crystal clear, and the beaches are at their most peaceful before the afternoon crowds arrive. This is Santorini as it was meant to be experienced — from the water, with nothing between you and the ancient volcanic landscape.
With a maximum of just 15 guests on our 44ft Lagoon Catamaran, this shared cruise offers an intimate and personal sailing experience at an accessible per-person price. Our bilingual crew guides you along the southern coastline, past the towering red cliffs of Red Beach and the crystalline waters of White Beach, with stops for snorkeling and swimming in some of the clearest water in the Mediterranean.
The onboard BBQ produces a full spread of grilled food, fresh salads, and Santorini wine served on deck as you sail along the Akrotiri coastline. The morning departure returns you to port by early afternoon, giving you the rest of the day to explore Santorini’s famous villages, visit the archaeological site at Akrotiri, or simply relax at your hotel before the evening.
This is one of the best value ways to experience sailing in Santorini — a proper, full-service catamaran cruise with food, wine, transfers, and a genuine sailing experience for just €125 per person.
10:00 AM — Welcome Aboard. Your private transfer collects you from your hotel and brings you to Vlychada Marina. Wine and light snacks are ready as you come aboard and meet the crew.
10:30 AM — Red Beach. The catamaran sets sail along the volcanic coastline toward Red Beach. The morning light on the towering red cliffs is extraordinary — ideal for photography. Snorkel along the cliff base and swim in crystal-clear water at its calmest.
11:30 AM — White Beach. Continue to White Beach, a secluded cove of brilliant white pumice accessible only by boat. Swim, snorkel, and enjoy the extraordinary scenery in relative peace before the afternoon boats arrive.
12:30 PM — BBQ on Deck. The crew serves a full BBQ lunch: grilled chicken and shrimp, Specialty Salad, Pasta Napolitana, Greek finger foods, and Santorini wine. Eat on deck as you sail along the Akrotiri coastline in the warm morning sun.
1:30 PM — Coastal Sailing. The catamaran continues along the southern coastline, with the extraordinary geological formations of the volcanic landscape on one side and the open Aegean on the other. Relax, swim from the boat, or simply enjoy being on the water.
~3:00 PM — Return to Marina. Your transfers bring you back to your hotel with the rest of the afternoon free to explore the island.

The morning has distinct advantages for sailing in Santorini. The sea is typically calmer in the morning — important if you are prone to motion sickness or are sailing with children. The beaches at Red Beach and White Beach are far quieter before noon, and the quality of light for photography is exceptional in the morning hours. If you prefer a relaxed, peaceful sailing experience and want the rest of your day free for exploring the island, the morning cruise is the ideal choice. It is also €20 per person less expensive than the sunset equivalent.
Both are wonderful but offer different experiences. The morning cruise offers calmer seas, clearer water, uncrowded beaches, and beautiful light for photography — returning you to port by early afternoon. The sunset cruise offers the iconic Santorini sunset viewed from the caldera — arguably the world’s most famous. It depends on your priorities. Many guests do both.
Generally yes — the Aegean tends to be calmer in the morning before the afternoon meltemi winds pick up. For guests sensitive to motion on the water, the morning departure is usually more comfortable.
Yes. The morning cruise is particularly family-friendly — calmer seas, morning energy, and plenty of swimming time. Life jackets are available for children. Please mention ages when booking.
Absolutely. Many guests book both during their stay in Santorini — the morning and the sunset each offer a completely different experience and both are exceptional. Contact us if you’d like to arrange both.
Yes — Santorini wine is served from departure. It’s entirely up to you how much you enjoy. The wine is from local Santorini producers and is genuinely excellent. Non-alcoholic alternatives including water and soft drinks are always available.
