Should I choose a Morning or Sunset Cruise?
Both are fantastic options! Morning cruises (10:00AM–3:00PM) are ideal if you prefer a cooler temperature, want to preserve your afternoon for other activities in Santorini, or simply enjoy a fresh start to the day. Sunset cruises (3:00PM–Sunset) are perfect for those who prefer a late start and want to experience Santorini’s world-famous sunset from the water. Both share the same routes, inclusions and pricing.
What equipment is included on board?
All safety equipment is provided on board. We include snorkeling masks, noodles for easy swimming, and towels for all guests. On private cruises we can also include fishing rods and onboard grilling equipment. You do not need to bring your own snorkeling gear.
What types of sailing tours do you offer?
We offer a wide range of sailing experiences: semi-private shared cruises (max 15 guests), fully private charters (max 17 guests), full-day sailing tours (10 hours), honeymoon cruises, bachelor party cruises, yacht weddings, yacht proposals, and RIB speed boat tours. All tours depart from Vlychada Marina.
Why is Santorini a great destination for sailing?
Santorini’s unique geology creates a dramatic and diverse coastline perfect for sailing. The island features crystal-clear turquoise waters, volcanic beaches (Red Beach, White Beach), a massive submerged caldera, volcanic hot springs, the Nea Kameni volcanic island, and the stunning cliffs of Oia. Many of the best spots are only accessible by boat.
Are your captains experienced?
Absolutely. Our captains are fully licensed, highly experienced, and deeply familiar with Santorini’s local waters. Cap. Nikolas was born and raised in Santorini and has sailed these waters his entire life. Our crew provides commentary on the history, culture, and natural landmarks throughout your cruise.
Where do the cruises depart from?
All our cruises primarily depart from Vlychada Fisherman Shelter (closest to the marina), which is the most convenient and least congested departure point. We also have options from the Old Port of Fira and Ammoudi Bay in Oia, though these experience heavier tourist traffic. Hotel pickup and return transfers are included in all cruises.
What should I wear on the cruise?
We recommend wearing a swimsuit as the primary outfit since you’ll be swimming at several stops. Bring a hat, sunglasses, and a light jacket for potential evening chill on sunset cruises. If you plan to swim in the hot springs, wear darker clothing as the sulfur can stain light-coloured fabrics.
What food and beverages are included?
All cruises include a delicious spread of Greek-inspired food: BBQ Chicken, Shrimp & our Secret Specialty Salad, Pasta Napolitana, Greek and international finger foods. For drinks we serve Santorini wine, local beer, and water. Please inform us in advance of any dietary requirements or allergies.
What should I bring on the cruise?
We recommend bringing: sunscreen (high SPF), a hat, sunglasses, a swimsuit, and a light jacket for evenings. Towels and snorkeling equipment are provided. You do not need to bring food or drinks — everything is included. Leave valuables at your hotel if possible.
Are children allowed on the cruises?
Yes, children are welcome on all our cruises! For families with young children, we especially recommend a private charter where the experience can be customised to suit your family’s needs. Safety equipment and noodles are available for non-swimming children. Life jackets are provided for all passengers.
Do you cater for special occasions like weddings and proposals?
Yes — this is one of our specialties! We offer fully private yacht weddings and proposal cruises with customisable decorations, champagne service, and personalised itineraries. Our crew is experienced at creating magical moments at sea. Contact us to discuss your requirements and we’ll tailor the perfect experience.
How far in advance should I book?
We strongly recommend booking as early as possible, especially during the peak summer season (June–September) when spots fill up fast. Last-minute same-day bookings may be possible but require immediate contact by phone or email. Morning cruises should be booked at least one day in advance.
Is snorkeling equipment provided?
Yes! Snorkeling equipment and noodles are included in the price for all cruises. There is no need to bring your own gear. Our crew will guide you to the best snorkeling spots around the island, including the crystal-clear waters at Red Beach and White Beach.
Which is the best catamaran tour in Santorini?
Our most popular option is the Semi-Private Caldera Sunset Catamaran Cruise, which appeals to those who want to experience the famous Santorini sunset from the water alongside like-minded travellers. For the most comprehensive experience, our Full Day Sailing Tour visits every iconic location. For special occasions, our private charters offer the ultimate in luxury and exclusivity.
