This is the tour for those who want to see it all: the volcanic beaches, the active volcano, the otherworldly hot springs, the unspoilt island of Thirasia, and the iconic caldera views — all without rushing and without strangers on board.
Departing at 10:00 AM from Vlychada Marina, your private Lagoon Catamaran sails first to Red Beach and White Beach for morning swimming in the clearest water you will find anywhere in the Mediterranean. From there, you sail into the heart of the caldera to anchor at the geothermal Hot Springs of Palea Kameni — a unique natural experience unlike anything else on earth.
After the hot springs, the catamaran sails to Nea Kameni, Santorini’s active volcanic island. Guests can disembark and hike to the volcanic crater, exploring the lunar landscape of hardened lava and sulphurous vents before returning to the catamaran for a full BBQ lunch with Santorini wine and cold beer.
The afternoon takes you across to Thirasia, the island that sits across the caldera from Santorini, largely untouched by tourism. Visit a traditional Greek taverna for dessert or coffee before sailing back through the caldera with spectacular views of Oia and Fira clinging to the rim above. The return leg as the afternoon light turns golden is one of the most beautiful sights in all of Greece.
10:00 AM — Departure. Private transfers bring you to Vlychada Marina. Welcome drinks on deck as you cast off and sail south along the island’s dramatic volcanic coastline.
10:30 AM — Red & White Beach. First stop at Red Beach — one of the most striking beaches in Greece, with towering red volcanic cliffs. Snorkel along the base of the cliffs before moving on to the secluded White Beach for swimming in brilliant clear water.
12:00 PM — Hot Springs. Anchor at the Volcanic Hot Springs of Palea Kameni. The warm, sulphurous water is unlike any swimming experience elsewhere — a geothermal wonder in the middle of the Aegean. Swim from the boat and feel the temperature change as you approach the springs.
1:00 PM — Nea Kameni Volcano. Disembark on Nea Kameni, the active volcanic island at the centre of the caldera. Hike to the crater rim and explore the hardened lava fields and sulphurous vents of one of the most geologically active sites in Europe.
2:00 PM — BBQ Lunch on Deck. Return to the catamaran for a full BBQ: grilled chicken and shrimp, Specialty Salad, fresh Mediterranean dishes, Santorini wine, and cold beer. Eat at anchor in the caldera with the cliff-top villages above you.
3:30 PM — Thirasia. Sail across to Thirasia, the unspoilt island that faces Santorini across the caldera. Explore the village, visit a traditional taverna, and enjoy the view back across the caldera to Santorini from the other side.
5:00 PM — Return through the Caldera. Sail back through the caldera with spectacular views of Oia and Fira high above. Swimming stop and relaxed sailing as the afternoon light turns the cliffs golden.
~6:00 PM — Return to Marina. Your transfers bring you back to your hotels, ready for the evening in Santorini.

Most Santorini boat tours are 5 hours and only scratch the surface of what this island has to offer from the water. The full day gives you the time to actually experience the volcano, swim in the hot springs, explore Thirasia, and still have time for swimming at the beaches without feeling rushed. If you are only going to do one sailing experience in Santorini, this is the one that covers everything. Yes. The full day tour is ideal for families. Children enjoy the swimming stops, the volcanic scenery, and the lunch on deck. Life jackets are available in children’s sizes. Please mention the ages of children when booking so we can prepare accordingly.
The full day covers significantly more destinations — adding the Santorini Volcano, Hot Springs, and Thirasia Island which are not visited on the 5-hour tours. You also have much more time at each stop, and the full BBQ lunch is served on board.
