Watch Santorini’s legendary sunset from the deck of our luxury Lagoon Catamaran — from just €145 per person.
Our Semi-Private Sunset Sailing Cruise is one of the most popular sailing experiences in Santorini — and for good reason. With a maximum of just 15 guests, this intimate shared cruise gives you a personal, uncrowded experience aboard our 44ft Lagoon Catamaran, at a price point that makes the famous Santorini sunset accessible to everyone.
Departing at 3:00 PM from Vlychada Marina, the catamaran sails along Santorini’s dramatic volcanic southern coastline, past the towering red cliffs of Red Beach and the secluded White Beach, before heading into the caldera as the sun moves toward the horizon. The views from the water are simply incomparable to anything you will see from land.
Our bilingual crew provides friendly commentary throughout the cruise, pointing out geological features and local landmarks. The onboard BBQ produces a full spread of grilled chicken, shrimp, specialty salad, and Pasta Napolitana, served with unlimited Santorini wine and cold beer. There is time to snorkel, swim, and relax on deck — and then the moment the cruise is famous for: watching the world-renowned Santorini sunset from the water, glass of wine in hand.
This is the ideal sailing experience for solo travellers, couples, and small groups who want an authentic Santorini sailing experience at a great value. If you are looking for complete privacy, see our Private Sunset Catamaran.
3:00 PM — Welcome Aboard. Your private transfer collects you from your hotel and brings you to Vlychada Marina. The crew welcomes you aboard with chilled wine and shows you around the catamaran before departure.
3:30 PM — Red & White Beach. The catamaran sails along the volcanic coastline to Red Beach — one of the most photogenic beaches in the world. Anchor here for snorkeling and swimming before moving on to the pristine White Beach.
5:00 PM — BBQ Dinner. As the sun begins to descend, the crew serves the full BBQ spread on deck. Grilled chicken, shrimp, Specialty Salad, Pasta Napolitana, finger foods, and Santorini wine. The food is fresh, generous, and delicious.
6:00 PM — Into the Caldera. The catamaran enters the caldera — the vast, ancient volcanic bowl that defines Santorini’s dramatic landscape. The cliffs rise on all sides, and the white villages of Oia glow in the evening light above you.
7:30 PM — The Santorini Sunset. The moment everyone comes to Santorini for — experienced the right way, from the water. As the sun sets over the caldera, the sky turns gold, pink, and deep red. Glass of wine in hand, Aegean water all around, Oia clinging to the cliffs above. This is it.
~8:00 PM — Return. Your transfer brings you back to your hotel ready for the evening.
* Departure and return times may vary depending on the sunset time. Anchor locations may vary depending on weather and sea conditions.
The semi-private cruise is our most popular option for good reason — it offers an exceptional sailing experience at an accessible price, with a maximum of 15 guests ensuring the atmosphere is always intimate. If you are travelling solo, as a couple, or as a small group and are happy to share the boat with a few other like-minded travellers, the semi-private option offers outstanding value. If you prefer to have the entire catamaran exclusively for your group, our Private Sunset Catamaran from €1,200 is the perfect choice.
A maximum of 15 guests total. The boat may depart with fewer guests depending on bookings — we never add extra passengers to fill it up. With 15 guests on a 44ft catamaran, there is always ample space on deck.
Santorini’s sunset is world-famous for its consistency — the island’s position and the caldera’s orientation make it exceptional almost every evening. We cannot control weather, but in our experience, the sunset from the water is spectacular on the vast majority of evenings during the sailing season (April–October).
The semi-private shares the boat with up to 14 other guests at €145 per person. The Private Sunset Catamaran gives your group exclusive use of the entire boat from €1,200 for up to 6 guests. If you are a group of 5 or more, the private option is similar in cost per person and gives you complete exclusivity.
